Aravind Medical Research Foundation (AMRF) was founded by Dr. G. Venkataswamy. The main mission of the AMRF is to eliminate needless blindness by providing evidence through research and evolving methods to translate existing evidence and knowledge into effective action. AMRF is a multidisciplinary research community and a registered society, recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India, which conducts basic research to gain insights about vision science and commitment to finding new ways to reduce the burden of blindness.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for a post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the Department of Proteomics, Aravind Medical Research Foundation, in the following area:
Understanding the role of microRNA in Diabetic retinopathy
Job Title : JRF Position– Proteomics Department, Aravind Medical Research Foundation (AMRF), Madurai.
Duration of the project : 2 years
Qualification : The essential qualification for JRF post is M.Sc/M.Tech in any branch of Life Sciences with NET qualification. Those without NET qualification will be considered as Project Fellow. Candidates with good experience in Molecular Biology (Sequencing, Real-time PCR) and Cell Biology techniques will be preferred.
Fellowship : Selected candidates will be paid fellowship as per existing norms of the funding agencies.
